As of April 1, Fusion 2008 net proceeds have exceeded $225,000! Combined with the matching grant from the Edward E. Ford Foundation, that means that over $275,000 will go towards the exciting "green" and curricular elements of the Science and Technology Center!
If you have purchased an item but have not yet picked it up, please do so in the Development Office at your earliest convenience.
Thanks to everyone who supported the event through patron support, auction item donations, auction purchases and volunteer support! A true collaboration on the part of the extended Chestnut Hill Academy community!

Chestnut Hill Academy Presents ...

Fusion!
Check out the Cash and Prizes Raffle
The Parents Association’s annual fundraiser will be held at the Franklin Institute on Saturday March 15, 2008 from 7pm to 11pm. Everyone’s invited! Parents, faculty and staff, alumni, parents of alumni, and friends. This party will be a fusion of all the members of our CHA family.
There will be three great auctions, (online; silent and live auctions at the event), delicious food catered by the Frog, and music and dancing by David Dye.
Event proceeds will be used to purchase the equipment needed to transform our new Science and Technology Center into an exciting teaching tool for students. Environmental technologies installed on the rooftop (solar thermal panels, photovoltaic cells, a wind turbine, and weather station) will be connected to a meter wall in the lobby which will display their function. Using these instruments, students will be able to observe the building’s environmental performance, and faculty across the school will be able to access the data for use in the curriculum, e.g., for analysis of energy flow efficiency and study of the benefits of “green” technologies.
Through the “fusion” of technology, the environment, and education, CHA will create a truly exceptional science curriculum that both envisions and embodies the future.
For over sixty years Parents Association events have provided financial support for programs that enhance the education of our boys. Recent events supported the installation of smartboards in every classroom and construction of the new Lower and Middle School playgrounds. This year's event continues this long-standing tradition of support for Chestnut Hill Academy.
